After Life season 3: Here’s what you need to know about the return of everyone’s favourite dark comedy-drama

Season 2 of Ricky Gervais’s After Life left fans with tons of unanswered questions and open storylines.

Since the delightfully dark comedy-drama aired in 2019, combining grief with humour in the way British TV does oh so well, we’ve been hooked. We’ve cried, we’ve laughed, we’ve told all our mates to watch it, then we’ve cried some more.

The series follows Tony (Gervais), a newspaper writer who is struggling to go on living following his wife’s death, and adopts a harsh new persona in an attempt to cope.

So, with season 2 airing last year, can we expect a third season?

Will there be an After Life season 3?
Yes! After Life was confirmed to be returning for a third season in May 2020, just less than two weeks after season 2’s premiere. Which is pretty impressive, considering Netflix often takes at least a month to decide whether to renew a show for another season.
